Class Descriptions
-
Gentle Yoga - Easy-paced yoga class with an emphasis on breathing and relaxation. Best choice for most older, inflexible, or pregnant students.
-
Basic Yoga - This yoga class is best for beginners and onging students who prefer a moderate pace, slightly more physical than the Gentle Yoga. This is the class we recommend for most first-time yoga students who are free of serious physical limitations.
-
Mixed-Level Yoga - Medium paced yoga class with variations for different levels of student ability and experience. Appropriate for first-time beginners who are physically fit.
- Intermediate Yoga - Goes beyond the level of our Basic and Mixed-Level classes, with a deeper exploration of postures and techniques.
-
Mindful Yoga - Emphasizes moving mindfully with a restorative and experimental approach. The deep focus on mindfulness and free movement will appeal to experienced students, but physically the class is gentle enough for all levels.
-
Vinyasa - A vigorous, flowing, and challenging yoga class. Suitable for experienced students. Intensity level of a typical vinyasa class is similar to ashtanga/astanga, bikram, or power vinyasa. Not for beginners or students with serious inflexibility or injuries.
-
Yin Yoga - A rejuvenating and mindful yoga class in which postures are held for several minutes each. The stillness takes practitioners deep into postures that stretch the fabric of the body. Appropriate for injury-free students of all levels.
-
Yoga & Meditation - An hour-long of mixed-level yoga class followed by a 30-minute seated meditation. Beginners and experienced meditators welcome.
-
Qigong - [chee-gong] Characterized by mindful movement and awareness of energy (Qi), Qigong is an ancient practice rooted in Chinese Taoist tradition. All levels welcome, no qigong experience necessary.
